She was the ocean
But the ones close to her didn’t know how to swim
She craved the mystery of her own heart
But the deeper into the dark she went
The further she got from the ones she once held dear
Without the eyes to see her or the heart to receive her
She disappeared from their sight
A lovely memory of the girl that once was
Her heart broke to be a ghost
But an ocean must know herself first
To decide to know who you really are can both break your heart and open doors within your heart you didn’t know existed.
Those who choose a path of ruthless self love and self discovery often find themselves in a liminal space.
Ties to friends or family of origin start to dissolve the more and more you explore and own your true essence.
It can be lonely and isolating to feel like you’re leaving people behind.
It can be beautiful and terrifying to discover corners of your soul you might not have touched in decades.
And yet, there comes a comfort, an ease, in the deep remembrance of your innate wholeness.
It takes courage to walk in integrity with your soul.
I see you.
